Hall of Honour Inductee: George Heimbigner


There is no one more deserving in Surrey than George who should receive this Honour.  George has been a member of the SPNBC Team since it infancy in 1989. George has always had support from his wife Janice, children Sandy, David, Jesse & Tisa.  In 1989 George was made UIC of Surrey for SPN, he then started to train & allocate umpires & still doing it today. George also umpire's, he has gone to Alberta & Ontario to umpire at Nationals and has umpired at SPNBC Provincials.  Back in 1989 he then went to Slo-Pitch League meeting & started converting Leagues in Surrey over to SPN. The 1st League he converted in Surrey was Sunday Good Times League.  George also helped develop new Leagues, such as the Surrey Women's Slo-Pitch League.  George has also been instrumental in running very successful SPN Nationals & Provincials over the last 8 years. One of George's biggest accomplishments is Bolivar Park & being one of the Co-founders of the Bolivar Slo-Pitch Society.
