How to Enter a Local Tournament

Search for tournament listings online through the Event Calendar

Once you have decided what tournament you would like to play in click on Register Now. You'll then build your event roster by choosing your division, gender, ranking, and lastly your players.

If your team is not already SPN registered you will be required to pay your SPN team membership at this time.

Once everything is submitted, you will receive an email with your receipt along with a confirmation of entering the event.

Find out from the convener when you can expect to find out your game times for the event.

Make arrangements to be at the event in plenty of time to play your first game.

It’s that easy, enjoy the weekend with your team mates!

We accept all major credit cards* and EMT/e-transfer payments online which will be processed immediately when you submit your order. (*NOTE: There is an additional credit card processing fee that is added on to all credit card payments.)

If you prefer to pay by cheque, choose the “Cheque” option during the payment process. In this case, ensure that you complete your order (you will receive an order receipt/confirmation upon completion), then mail your cheque to your regional office with reference to your order # that is found on your receipt.

If you live near your regional office, you can choose to pay by cash. Select the “Cheque” payment option (you will receive an order receipt/confirmation upon completion), then deliver the cash in person to the office (never send cash in the mail).

You will not be officially registered until your cash/cheque payment is received and marked as paid by your regional office personnel.

Once a team registration has been received by the Slo-Pitch National office, you will be considered a member of Slo-Pitch National. Each team will have access to member promotions throughout each year, and are also eligible to participate in Slo-Pitch National tournaments. You are allowed to add up to 40 members to your online team PLAYER POOL. However, this is strictly a pool from which you can draw members from to form a tournament roster. During the online tournament registration process, you will be required to select only the members participating in that specific tournament from the team list below.

Player changes to your roster can be made through your Regional Director. All player changes should be on file at the National Office. Please note that roster changes could possibly impact the level of play that your team is approved for.

Each team only needs to pay their membership once each year. (Note: the league roster must be the same roster submitted for National Championships) If a team has already purchased their membership when registering for the National Championships the registration system will recognize them as paid and will not charge you a second time when you "Make League Payment".

YES, all Slo-Pitch National members need to have agreed to the terms of membership and accept the online Waiver to be covered by Slo-Pitch National insurance. Am I covered if I damage an automobile or property as a result of a batted ball?

The SPN policy does not respond to any claims involving property or damage to a third-party property including automobile such as windshield. When a person parks or resides in a premises near a municipal parking lot/baseball/softball facility, the owner assumes the risk and should take precautions, implemented and promoted by the municipality, this can include signage (i.e., Warning signs), fencing and park or reside at their own risk. A vehicle or property owner may choose to file a personal auto or home claim for damages. SPN will not be involved in the resolution of any incident.

How do I request an Accident Medical Insurance Claim Form?

You can contact the National Office (or BC Office if you reside in BC) to request a claim form if you have been injured. Claim forms will be sent to insured members once a fully completed incident report has been received by Slo-Pitch National outlining the accident and the injured party has been confirmed as an insured member. The AD&D policy can reimburse medical expenses, such as rehabilitation / physiotherapy, dental, ambulance costs.

No. Check with your employer, they may offer a disability benefit plan. A wage-loss replacement plan may cover this.

What is the procedure if I get injured during a game or practice?

You should immediately have an incident report completed to be submitted to Slo-Pitch National. If the accident occurs during an officiated game, the umpire should complete the form. If the accident occurs and no official is present, the form should be completed by the league president or tournament convener. Once the incident report has been completed, and Slo-Pitch National has confirmed that you are an SPN registered, insured member, you can request claim forms.

My injury was not serious and I did not go to the hospital. Do I still need to complete an Incident Report Form?

Yes, incident reports should be completed regardless of the severity. When it comes to injuries, it is always better to be "safe than sorry". Even if an injury may appear minor at first, it is good practice to have the participant checked out by a healthcare professional. Remember, an injury may not show its full spectrum of symptoms right away. We cannot process claims without proper documentation of the incident. Note: Medical/Dental treatment must be received within 30 days from the date of the incident in order for your claim to be approved.
