CANADA SHINES ON THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE: TWO GOLD MEDALS AT THE 2026 USSSA CHALLENGE CUP

Slo-Pitch National is proud to celebrate an outstanding showing by our Canadian representatives at the 2026 USSSA Challenge Cup, where our teams once again demonstrated their talent, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit on the international stage. Canada returned home with two gold medals and one bronze, marking another milestone for the program.
Leading the way was the Ontario Men’s 50 team, who delivered a dominant, undefeated performance throughout the tournament. Finishing with a perfect 6-0 record, Ontario capped off their remarkable run by defeating Florida in the championship game of a highly competitive 10-team division to secure the gold medal.
Joining them at the top of the podium was the British Columbia Women’s 40 Rec team, who showed tremendous resilience and determination. After battling through the bracket, they earned their championship victory in dramatic fashion, defeating Florida in the if-necessary final to finish 6-2 and claim gold in the 12-team division.
Adding to the medal count, the Ontario Men’s 40 Rec team delivered an exceptional performance in one of the largest divisions at the event. Competing against 29 teams, they fought their way to a bronze-medal finish, proudly representing their province and country.
The Challenge Cup continues to be a premier international partnership opportunity with USSSA, providing Canadian teams with the chance to compete against top competition while showcasing the strength and depth of slo-pitch across our nation.
Slo-Pitch National extends its congratulations to all 29 Canadian teams who participated in the 2026 Challenge Cup program. Your commitment, preparation, and pride in wearing the maple leaf continue to elevate Canada’s reputation on the world stage.
We also extend a sincere thank you to the USSSA Challenge Cup organizers for their hard work and dedication in delivering a first-class event experience for all participating teams.
With the momentum already building for next season, applications for 2027 Team Managers are now being accepted, as we begin the process of assembling the next group of teams that will represent Canada in this outstanding international competition.
Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, and supporters on an unforgettable 2026 Challenge Cup!
