Shawn Gladstone, New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island Umpire In Chief

Slo-Pitch National Maritimes is excited to announce Shawn Gladstone as the new Umpire In Chief of the New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island territories. The 46 year old Gladstone, hails from Riverview, New Brunswick.


Shawn has been actively involved with the sport of slo-pitch for almost 25 years, playing, coaching and officiating at the local, provincial and national levels.


Gladstone is coming off his most memorable year as an official, being chosen to umpire the Softball Canada Men’s Canadian Championships hosted in Moncton this past August and also earning the plate assignment for the Slo-Pitch National Men’s “B” National Championship final game that was held in Moncton. Shawn is looking forward to promoting the Slo-Pitch National Officiating program, focusing on recruiting and developing future umpires as well as continuing with the development of our existing umpires.


Shawn is looking to lead by example and looks forward to instilling his passion and experiences of Slo-Pitch to his peers. Slo-Pitch National would like to thank Shawn for his dedication to the SPN programs in the Maritimes and welcome him to the National Officiating Committee.
