USSSA Cooperation Agreement

United States Specialty Sports Association and Slo-Pitch National Softball Inc. have announced that starting in 2022, the 2 organizations will work together to mutually promote and build participation in sport of slo-pitch across North America. This endeavor includes USSSA welcoming Canadian teams to participate at the annual Challenge Cup that is hosted at the Space Coast Complex in Melbourne, Florida in January each year.
SPN President, Trish Harrow-Rodic is excited to be able to develop programs geared towards players of all levels, that will offer an opportunity to represent individual regions and Canada at an International competition.
USSSA CEO, Don DeDonatis III is excited for the opportunity to partner and broaden our overall reach within the slow-pitch sport. ”We value the ability to build these partnerships and take pride in providing play for all ages alongside other strong associations, like SPN. USSSA can’t wait for the opportunity to play in Can-Am events, and we welcome all invitees for the 2023 Challenge Cup!”
Teams from Canada who had previously planned on attending the 2021 Challenge Cup were extended invites but due to various travel challenges, many plans have been sidelined for 2021. Regional Team selection for the 2023 event will take place throughout 2022. Selection guidelines and committees will be determined in early 2022.
